Located just 15 minutes from Oxford and 11 miles from Blenheim Palace, the Old Swan & Minster Mill is nestled in 65 acres of idyllic grounds in the picturesque village of Minster Lovell. This quintessentially English inn and adjoining mill seamlessly blend the rural charm of these historic buildings with modern design, luxurious comfort and delicious menus crafted from the best seasonal produce.
The Old Swan comprises 15 charming guest rooms and suites epitomising the classic beauty of the rural Inn. The adjoining Minster Mill has 44 bedrooms offering a more contemporary, Scandinavian style; the choice includes several outstanding river rooms with their own private terrace with fire pit, family rooms and several dog-friendly rooms.
Expect fresh local ingredients crafted into hearty dishes; this is the perfect place to enjoy a pie and a pint by the fireside, or a salad on the terrace in the summer. The menu is seasonal and the food is simple, hearty and flavoursome with delicious items available all day. The Old Swan's dining rooms and bars are a myriad of smaller heavily beamed, cosy quarters with roaring log fires, rugged flag-stone floors.
Set in 65 acres of magical gardens, wild-flower meadows, woodland and on the River Windrush, there's plenty to explore and ample places to relax in peace. The vegetable gardens supply the chef with fruit and vegetables as well as the chickens providing eggs and the beehives honey.
